Temple of Singing Crystal
Level / Sound Design
This project that I've titled "Temple of Singing Crystal" started off as a very basic project to learn more about sound design and working in Unreal 5 with sound. I decided that simple was not interesting enough so it evolved into a blend of Level Design and Sound Design.
All the sounds in the scene were sourced through sound libraries and edited in Reaper for use in Unreal to fit the theme of the scene. The footsteps for the character are synced with the player animation and each environmental audio cue / asset has attenuation and occlusion to give the scene a better sense of 3D space and direction.
The assets used for the scene were collected from the unreal marketplace, and I started with the base "Sun Temple" level from Epic Games and wanted to give it an overhaul to fit what I describe as a "High fantasy meets The Last of Us" visual style.
